Your privacy

My Bermuda Lyft is a Bermuda business. This notice explains what information we hold about you, why we hold it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain English on purpose.

What we collect, and why

When you book with us, we collect what the booking needs: your name, email address and phone number, your pickup and dropoff details, travel dates, party size, and flight details where you give them. We use these to run your booking, send confirmations by email or text message, and keep the financial records the law requires us to keep.

When you pay, your card details go directly to our payment provider and bank. We never see or store your card number. We keep only the payment confirmation reference.

If you create an account, you can save preferences, pickup notes, a preferred vehicle type, and similar, to make your next booking quicker and to help us personalise your future service. Saving preferences is optional. You can decline it entirely and book exactly as easily.

What we never do

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not track you around the internet. Our website statistics are anonymous counts with no cookies and no personal identifiers.

Who handles your information

Trusted providers process information on our behalf: our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon), our payment gateway and bank (PowerTranz and our Bermuda acquiring bank), and our messaging provider (Twilio) for confirmations. Each receives only what its job requires. Your information is processed on infrastructure outside Bermuda with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Financial records, 7 years, as required. Your account, for as long as you keep it. If you ask us to delete your information, we erase what identifies you and keep only the anonymised financial records the law requires.

Your rights

You can see and correct your information in your account at any time, and you can ask us for a copy of it, or for its deletion, by contacting our privacy officer at hello@mybermudalyft.com. We respond to every request.
